Job Description

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will support various accounting operations, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with reports. This position requires strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial management. Responsibilities: - Accurately record and maintain financial transactions in accounting systems. - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely handling of invoices and payments. - Reconcile accounts and financial statements to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies. - Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements. - Perform data entry and invoice verification while ensuring compliance with company policies. - Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment or billing issues promptly. - Organize and maintain financial documents and filing systems for easy access and efficiency. - Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage financial processes effectively. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles. - Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel. - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. - Effective written and verbal communication abilities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations is essential.
