Role: Business Analyst Capital Markets Currency Remediation
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead initiatives in the Currency Remediation space within Capital Markets.
This role focuses on analyzing and implementing solutions to address multi-currency data issues, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across trading and risk systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering and solution design for currency remediation projects, including data standardization and conversion workflows.
Analyze existing systems and processes to identify gaps in multi-currency handling, valuation, and reporting.
Define and document functional specifications, data mapping, and integration requirements across trading, risk, and settlement platforms.
Collaborate with technology teams to implement remediation solutions, APIs, and automation for currency-related processes.
Support testing, UAT , and production readiness for currency remediation initiatives.
Partner with stakeholders (Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology) to ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.
Required Skills
Experience7 years as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets , with strong focus on multi-currency workflows and remediation projects.
Expertise in Order-Trade Life Cycle, FX products, and currency conversion logic.Strong experience with data integration, data mapping, and API-driven solutions.
Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL preferred) for data analysis and validation.
Familiarity with Kibana, Logstash, and monitoring tools for data visualization and troubleshooting.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting currency reporting and valuation.
Experience with risk systems, collateral management, and financial accounting standards.
