Title: CAD Drafter/Designer

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Salary: $95k-$110k, FTE exempt

Summary:

· Project Review & Planning

· Check emails, project updates, and priorities from project managers or engineers.

· Review design requirements, specifications, or sketches provided by architects/engineers.

· Drafting & Design Work

· Create or update 2D drawings or 3D models in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.).

· Develop detailed drawings, layouts, and assemblies based on design standards.

· Ensure drawings comply with codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

· Collaboration & Communication

· Meet with engineers, architects, or project managers to clarify design intent.

· Coordinate with other drafters/designers to maintain consistency across drawings.

· Communicate revisions or updates with the team.

· Revisions & Redlines

· Incorporate feedback and corrections from engineers or clients.

· Update existing drawings with “as-built” conditions.

· Documentation & Quality Checks

· Check drawings for accuracy, dimensioning, and formatting before submission.

· Maintain organized drawing files and ensure proper version control.

· Generate bills of materials (BOMs), part lists, or schedules if required.

· Support for Projects in Progress

· Provide updated drawings to construction teams, manufacturing, or fabricators.

· Answer design-related questions that come up during building/production.

· End of Day Wrap-Up

· Save work to the shared system or project database.

· Note progress, log hours, and prepare for the next day’s tasks.

Requirements:

·3-5 years’ experience

· experience with CAD

· experience with Tekla or SDS or SolidWorks

· experience creating a complete, full, detailed drawing (He mentioned a shop fabrication drawing).
