What You'll Do:

As a member of our ESOP Consulting team, you’ll partner directly with Plan Sponsors, Sales Consultants, Client Service Managers and others for our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) administration clients. You'll promote the delivery of consulting services that make valuable contributions and position Principal as a trusted business advisor.

Here are few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:

• Address strategic issues and identify consulting opportunities.
• Build positive relationships to retain assigned clients.
• Consult on technical plan design specific to the client’s organizational structure and compliance related questions.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of retirement, ERISA, or employee benefit related experience needed.
• Technical, statutory and regulatory knowledge of qualified and non-qualified plans.
• Requires a high level of creativity, initiative, resourcefulness, and the proven ability to leverage pension experience and knowledge to define and sell value added consulting services.
• Must be able to actively listen and ask the right questions to understand what the client needs and deliver the results in a style and method of communication to enhance understanding.
• Must have good analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
• Travel required - less than 20%.

Preferred:

• ESOP experience and in-depth ESOP technical knowledge and skills.
• Related industry designations. 

Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $67500 - $147600 / year Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Pension Eligible: Yes Additional Information:
