Job Title: Forensic Processing Technician

Location: Lenexa, KS 66219

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Pay Rate: $18.20/hour

Job Overview:

Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a detail-oriented and dependable Forensic Processing Technician for a forensic toxicology laboratory in Lenexa, KS . This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of biological specimens in accordance with strict forensic standards. The technician will report to the Supervisor of Forensic Processing and is a vital part of the department's daily operations.

Responsibilities:

* Utilize the QTN Lab Information System to access and input data
* Sort specimens (hair, oral fluid, urine, etc.) according to source and work lists
* Complete Maxilog data entry procedures
* Strictly follow forensic practices and chain-of-custody requirements
* Independently process urine specimens for both regulated and non-regulated testing
* Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and procedural policies
* Perform scanning and imaging of custody and control forms
* Appropriately discard negative specimens following standard protocols
* Complete flexilog processing at a rate of 70 custody and control forms per hour
* Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

* Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
* Experience: Prior laboratory experience preferred
* Other Requirements:

* Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
* Comfortable working in a laboratory environment under safety protocols
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Practical knowledge of computer systems
* High attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction
