Front Desk Medical Receptionist - Busy OBGYN Practice Location: Baltimore, MD Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch) Dress Code: Solid color scrubs required About the Role: We are seeking a Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our busy and growing OBGYN practice. This is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent service. You'll be responsible for: + Patient check-in and check-out using EMR (EPIC preferred) + Verifying and updating demographic and insurance information + Scanning and organizing patient documents + Coordinating appointments across departments + Eventually handling and triaging incoming phone calls Office Details: + The office is modern and newly built inside the professional building + 6 providers rotate between five offices + The office sees approximately 1,000 patients per month Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent required + Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting (patient access, scheduling, front desk, secretary, or back office) + EPIC and/or OBGYN experience strongly preferred + Excellent customer service and communication skills + Comfortable working in a high-volume environment + Familiarity with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes Important Parking Information: Please read carefully - this is a critical part of the job! + Parking is extremely limited and expensive at this location + Staff are responsible for their own parking costs, which can range from $15-$20/day or over $200/month + Public transportation, light rail, or park-and-ride options are strongly recommended + Alternatively, free street parking is available (approx. 6-8 blocks walk) + Please only apply if you are fully comfortable with this arrangement Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BALTIMORE, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
