Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a leader in the senior services field for over 50 years, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Home Administrator. Located in the heart of the Brandywine Valley and steeped in Quaker values, we are a not-for-profit retirement community with 2 Life Plan Communities (over 500 residences) and 2 50+ Communities (with 74 residences) dedicated to older adults' care, dignity, and respect. The successful candidate will work at the Kendal at Longwood community location and lead our newly redesigned and reimaged $56M Health Center, consisting of 114 skilled nursing and personal care residences.
This position plays an integral leadership role in the oversight of the daily operations of the Health Center. This role requires a servant and collaborative leader with strong management skills and a proven track record in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating best practice systems of care.
Key responsibilities include leadership, developing policies, procedures, and standards of care, recruiting and retaining staff, creating educational programs for Health Center staff, identifying and implementing innovations in the work environment, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Qualifications include a current Nursing Home Administrator’s license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science Degree with 5 years of related progressive experience in senior living, dementia care, experience in nursing management of long-term or acute care, and 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Must have strong team building and leadership skills, as well as working knowledge of electronic medical records and Microsoft software systems.
