Job Description
Description We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our team in Newport Beach, California. This long-term contract position focuses on managing multi-state leave processes and benefits programs for a high-volume hourly workforce. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in compliance, leave administration, and employee benefits management.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and oversee leaves of absence for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Serve as the primary resource for multi-state leave processes, including eligibility communication, documentation, and tracking.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations regarding leaves of absence and accommodations.
- Facilitate the return-to-work process by coordinating communication and accommodations for employees.
- Manage self-insured benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility, and addressing employee inquiries.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to streamline leave and benefits administration while maintaining compliance.
- Review and update policies related to benefits and leave to align with evolving regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and employee files related to benefits and leave processes.
- Generate reports on leave trends and compliance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Requirements - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience administering multi-state leave processes for a large hourly workforce.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and company-specific leave laws and compliance standards.
- Familiarity with self-insured benefits programs and internal benefits administration.
- Proficiency in HR systems, such as Paycom, for leave and benefits tracking.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills to manage high volumes of leave cases.
- Excellent communication skills to provide guidance to employees and collaborate with teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. TalentMatch®
