Position Summary:
Eastern New Mexico University is seeking applications for an Instructor of Mathematics, a renewable non-tenure track position, in the Department of Mathematical Sciences beginning August 2026. This is a residential appointment, and campus presence is expected.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Job Requirements:
A Master’s Degree in Mathematics, or a mathematically related field, and at least 18 credit hours in graduate-level mathematics is required, but a Master's degree in mathematics is preferred. Experience teaching developmental mathematics is required, and experience teaching High School mathematics is preferred.
Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Eastern New Mexico University offers a tuition waiver for regular employees and retirees. This program waives the tuition for three courses (up to nine credit hours) per semester. Employees' spouses or children may be eligible to use the tuition waiver during any semester that it is not being used by the employee.
