Acara Solutions is seeking qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Rockledge, FL.  Interested? 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Other duties may be assigned: 

• Surface preparation (sanding, cleaning, etching, stripping old paint) 
• Mixing and ing primers, topcoats, sealants, clear coats, etc. 
• Masking off areas not to be painted on. 
• Working in paint booths or paint hangars, often with controlled environment conditions. 
• Inspecting thickness, finish quality, adhesion, and conformity to specifications (often mil-spec / aerospace standards) 
• Maintaining safety protocols, protective gear, handling hazardous chemicals properly because many paint systems are toxic or volatile
• The finish is not just about cosmetics - the coating helps protect against corrosion, UV, environmental exposure, and can play a role in aerodynamic performance. 

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $17/hr

Hours: 40 hours/week (1st shift) 

1st Shift 6:00AM-3:30PM

Length: Temp to Hire based on business needs and performance

Job Requirements

Here's what requirements you'll need:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of composites manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience reading blueprints, paint specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with different types of coatings - epoxy, polyurethane, urethane, lacquer, etc.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with spray equipment, including HVLP, electrostatic application, or other specialized systems.

Here's what sets you apart from other candidates that our clients prefer:

• Some years of experience in related painting or coating disciplines aerospace experience is preferred. 
• Attention to detail, ability to follow precise procedures and safety rules.
• Physical stamina - standing for long hours, working at heights (lifts, scaffolding) 
• Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations - dealing with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), proper disposal, ventilation, respirators, etc.
