POSITION TITLE: Painter-Power Coat
DEPARTMENT: Paint
REPORTS TO: Paint Line Supervisor
STATUS: Full-time, Hourly Position 

 
POSITION OVERVIEW:  

The position Involves working In a powder booth, change colors and then manually spray painting products using a spray gun. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Includes the following (other duties may be documented and assigned by management, and some duties may not apply dependent upon the requirements of the position at each specific Tarter site and/or the strengths of the employee and the needs of the company):

• Must be able to perform color changes on powder booth.
• Must be able to identify hard-to-reach areas on product and get those areas painted adequately.
• Ability to work as part of a team at a very high pace In the Industrial environment.
• Capable of Identifying defects in material.
• Maintain adequate material available for the continued process on the paint line.
• Knowledge of the 5S system.
• Maintain work area In accordance with 5S system.
• Reports any abnormalities to the paint line supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
• Proper PPE must be utilized at all times while In the production area.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The majority of the work will be conducted on the paint line. Temperature conditions are weather dependent. A special paint suit and respirator must be worn. Work may be fast paced.
