**Job Description:** Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Assistant for our Pathology office to join our team in Fargo, North Dakota. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our pathology department by providing administrative support. Hours: 0.6 FTE with the opportunity to flex up to 1.0 FTE as needed. **Education Qualifications:** **Key Duties:** + Accessioning patient reports for additions and corrections to patient information. + Preparation of conference cases for pathologists. + Handling and tracking incoming and outgoing non-hazardous patient material within the laboratory information system. + Receiving and distributing packages and mail throughout the laboratory. + Sending and responding to fax requests. + Assisting providers and customers over the phone. + Filing and organization of non-hazardous patient materials. + Managing the scheduling of pathologists. + Promote patient standards of accreditation agencies and state licensure requirements. + Follows Essentia Health rules and policies to ensure safety and quality. **Experience Requirements:** + Basic computer skills + Communication skills **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of medical terminology + Knowledge of Microsoft applications + Experience in Epic Employee Benefits at Essentia Health: At Essentia Health, we're committed to supporting your well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
