About Our Client:

Addison Group is partnering with a leading healthcare organization seeking an experienced Transplant Billing Specialist . This role supports their centralized billing operations for transplant-related services. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in complex medical billing, an understanding of payer contracts, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency within the revenue cycle process.

Job Description:

The Transplant Billing Specialist will oversee the end-to-end billing and reimbursement process for transplant cases. This position ensures claims are accurately submitted and compliant with payer requirements while maintaining detailed records and communication across internal and external teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit electronic and paper transplant claims in compliance with payer and contract terms.
• Review documentation to ensure all required medical records, EOBs, and authorizations are attached prior to submission.
• Apply knowledge of bundled and global package pricing, including carve-outs and payer-specific protocols.
• Reconcile claim data and resolve billing issues to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.
• Collaborate with payers, clinical staff, and revenue cycle teams to address claim discrepancies or denials.
• Maintain accurate and auditable billing records in alignment with departmental policies and compliance standards.
• Utilize payer portals and internal systems (such as EPIC and Availity) to verify insurance and track claim activity.
• Assist in identifying process improvements and contribute to team initiatives that enhance billing accuracy.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of medical billing experience required
• 1–2 years of transplant billing experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of case rates, payer contracts, and reimbursement models
• Familiarity with transplant phases and package billing processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems

Additional Details:

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Hybrid: Onsite 4 days/week for first 90 days, then 3 days/week onsite
• Environment: Business office setting, business casual dress
• Start Date: ASAP (open to candidates with notice period)
